“Fine art is somewhat of an alien concept to me, I must admit. But when I was given the idea of commissioning a painting for my Fiancé as a wedding gift, it seemed like the perfect choice.

In my search for an artist, I came across Robbie, whose style resonated with me. The attention to detail and the perception of depth in his previous works were what really caught my attention.

Robbie listened carefully to my design brief. I can’t imagine how challenging it must have been to try and replicate the scene I envisaged but described so vaguely, but I genuinely felt Robbie understood the scene and was keen to undertake the challenge.

As previously mentioned, commissioning a painting is something I know nothing about, yet I felt reassured by Robbie’s understanding of my brief, and I was excited to see how the idea would develop.

Over the next couple of weeks, Robbie sent through his initial renders with lots of subtle tweaks and ideas to incorporate and try before making a start on the painting. The attention to detail Robbie showed was astounding, even down to ensuring cloud formations were as accurate as possible.

Robbie sent through regular updates on the painting, and I was amazed at how quickly it all came together. Again, Robbie’s attention to detail was incredible.

Robbie carefully packaged the painting, along with a certificate of authenticity for an extra personal touch, and ensured it arrived to me on time as I had quite a tight deadline.

Now that we have the painting with us, we couldn’t be happier. My now wife loves it, and it’s easy to see how much time was spent on the piece.

I can’t recommend Robbie enough. What seemed like a daunting process to me was made that bit easier by a gent who clearly understands his craft and will take the time to get things right. His regular updates were insightful and reassuring, and his communication was professional.
